Ford chose the official name of the pack with a black accent debuted on the 2023 Mustang: The Night Pony. The crowdsourced moniker beat out ‘Alastor’, ‘Shadowmare’ and ‘Shadow Stallion’ in the latest round of fan-submitted names in Ford’s social media quest to brand a new exterior package to help usher in the current generation of Ford’s iconic pony car. .
We turned to a place known for good ideas and opinions (the Internet) to help us rename the Mustang® Black Accent Package.

Ford’s effort to name its new exterior package has begun back in June of this year when he cast a wide net on social media in search suggestions. Earlier this month, the company announced the aforementioned finalists. The package includes black exterior (and similar interior) accents and wheels, likely with red accents (at least on the GT). We need to get full details and pictures car sharing soon, when Ford is set to announce plans for the 2023 Mustang at this year’s Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit.
