WILLIAMSPORT – A Lycoming County man has been found guilty of setting fire to a motorcycle club building and threatening to kill his girlfriend because “she knew too much.”
Damon Lee Millington, 43, of Cogan Station, During the arrest, he confessed to arson that destroyed the Road Knights Motorcycle Club building north of Williamsport on February 9, 2020.
However, he later said he confessed to protect his girlfriend, Courtney Howard, from going to jail.
That change led to a two-day trial that ended Wednesday with a District Court jury finding Millington guilty of arson, witness intimidation, criminal trespass, theft, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and risking a catastrophe.
He was acquitted of theft and receiving stolen property, and Assistant District Attorney Matthew B. Welichkowicz decided not to pursue the strangulation case involving Howard.
