Acura prices the 2023 TLX Type S PMC Edition at nearly $64,000

• It is mechanically identical to the standard TLX Type S, but has visual differences inside and out.

Acura is charging a pretty penny for the exclusive, handcrafted PMC Edition 2023 TLX Type S Sport Sedan. Orders are now open for this level of limited production the last monthand now we know it starts at $63,995—a $7,550 premium over the starting price of the mechanically identical TLX Type S.

What additional costs will you get? First and foremost is the knowledge that your TLX is one of only 300 PMC editions—or just one of 100 to be finished in each of the three colors carried over from the NSX. Orders are now open for the Curva Red and 130R White, and Acura says the white car is sold out— but the Long Beach Blue Pearl color pictured here won’t be open for reservations until December 8th. In addition, the PMC edition comes with other visual tweaks, including 20-inch copper-colored wheels, a front diffuser and a rear spoiler, as well as some interior trim differences, including a serial number plate and carbon fiber trim.

The TLX PMC Edition is built at the same Performance Manufacturing Facility in Ohio where production just ended The NSX Type S supercar, rather than the Marysville, Ohio plant where other TLXs are built. But its components are the same as the standard TLX Type S. That means a 355-horsepower, 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and Acura’s SH-AWD system with torque vectoring. .

Acura hasn’t said when exactly deliveries of the 2023 TLX PMC Edition will begin, but it says the higher destination charge for that model — $1,995 compared to $1,095 for the standard model — involves a different shipping process. PMC vehicles receive a special coating to protect the paint and are delivered to dealerships in an enclosed single-vehicle van.
