Ather Grid has signed a memorial of mutual understanding with Magenta ChargeGrid on the installation of Ather Grid for electric two-wheeled vehicles in different parts of the country. The partnership gives Ather access to several Magenta ChargeGrid locations across India to work together to accelerate the proliferation of public charging networks.

Currently, Magenta ChargeGrid is expanding its network to 35-40 cities in India in order to create a network of about 11,000 chargers by the end of fiscal year 23. This partnership with Magenta ChargeGrid will give Ather Grid access to premium and strategically located cities and roads I, Tier II and Tier III in India, and provide wider reach to EV customers.

Neila Chandra, Vice President of Charging Infrastructure and Marketing, said: “Our partnership with Magenta is another step towards building cooperation in this industry. This will bring increased convenience by setting up AtherGrids in the centers strategically identified by them.

Maxon Lewis, founder and managing director of Magenta, said: “At Magenta ChargeGrid, we are committed to accelerating the adoption of EV in the country by creating an end-to-end EV ecosystem. This collaborative approach with Ather Energy will foster our vision and enable consumers to access our network of smart and safe charging stations across the country and encourage continuous adoption of EV».

Ather is already collaborating with charging operators such as Zeon Charging, and retail partners such as Decathlon, Cafe Coffee Day, Blue Tokai, etc., and 15 other brands. Since its inception, Ather Energy has actively focused on building a fast charging network – Ather Grid, and also released its IP for a charging connector for all OEMs. Currently, Ather has installed about 330+ fast charging Ather Grid Points in 35 cities across the country.

Ather Energy has expanded its retail operations in key cities of India and is currently present in 31 cities with 36 retail stores. Magenta ChargeGrid has formed alliances with well-known DISCOMs across the country, such as BSES, BESCOM and other key discos, in order to create a stronger EV charging ecosystem.
