BAIC BJEV achieved growth in car production and sales in May compared to the same period last year

Shanghai (Gazgu) – Chinese manufacturer NEV BAIC BJEV produced and sold 1,261 and 2,276 cars in May 2022, up 202.4% and 90.14% year on year, respectively, according to monthly sales results published by its parent company BAIC BluePark New Energy Technology Co. , Ltd. (“BAIC BluePark”).

In the first five months of this year, total car production increased by 127.51% compared to the previous year and amounted to 4184 units, while car sales amounted to 13413 units and increased by 149.59% compared to the same period in 2021 year.

Last month, ARCFOX, a premium electric car brand owned by BAIC BluePark, launched a brand new version of the αS HI (Huawei Inside) on May 7th. The model is based on a full-fledged intelligent automatic solution HUAWEI and HarmonyOS, with a high level of urban intelligent control functions. It comes with two configurations priced at 397,900 yuan ($ 59,670) and 429,900 yuan ($ 64,470) respectively.

On May 30, BAIC BluePark reported that BAIC BJEV received government grants of 305.02 million yuan ($ 45.745 million) to promote NEV.
