BorgWarner announced that Sailaja Shankar has joined the Board of Directors.

Shankar is senior vice president and general manager of the Cisco Security Business Group, where she is responsible for the company’s global security business, including its innovation strategy, portfolio and architecture.

Michas, BorgWarner’s non-executive chairman. “Sailaji’s breadth of leadership experience through strategic change in large enterprise organizations, combined with her expertise in digital technology, cybersecurity, software and software applications, make her a strong addition to our Board of Directors as our product line continues to evolve and we provide Charge forward.”

Shankar holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Maris Stella College and a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from Andhra University in Mass Communication/Journalism and English Literature.
