Destination Dunnington for the Ducati MCE
This weekend, the third round of the British Super Bike Championship Bennetts 2022 will go to the National Track in Donington Park, and MCE Ducati riders Josh Brooks and Tom Sykes hope to continue the recent momentum.
After a disappointing starting round in Silverstone on Easter the pair returned to Oulton Park earlier this month, where two-time BSB champion Brooks finished fourth and former world superbike champion Sykes got the best result of the season, 11th at MCE Insurance. and the factory-supported Ducati Panigale V4R.
Since then, Australian Brooks from Bedfordshire finished on the podium last week at the International North West 200 for Paul Byrd’s team, and Yorkshire Sykes have done some more work with Ducati Corse, bringing them to Dunnington Park in a confident mood.
Indeed, both riders celebrated a series of GP World Championship victories at the Midlands: Brooks won the World Supersport race there in 2008, and Sykes won an astonishing nine World Superbike Championship races from 2013 to 2017.
Josh Brooks: “Last year, both tours in Donington Park were affected by the weather, so hopefully this weekend it won’t be too important a factor. I’m constantly gaining confidence with the motorcycle, and last week’s results on the NW200 helped us. It’s just a case of detention and I hope to achieve good results. In addition, Tom has a fantastic record on the track, so it can also help the team. “
Tom Sykes: “I’m looking forward to Donington Park this weekend, it’s a track that I really enjoy and I’ve had great success there in the past, so hopefully we can continue that. The goal is to work on the limitations that affected us at the start of the season, and try to improve the setup to make me feel more comfortable on the bike and with the package as a whole. ”
