Bugatti will use the background Monterey Car Week 2022 is currently in California to reveal the new model, previewed in a short video teaser posted on social media.
The mystery model will be revealed on August 19 at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, one of the main events of Monterey Car Week, and judging by the teaser, the car will look radically different from any previous Bugatti.
We know that Bugatti is working on a successor to the Chiron, although that car, confirmed as a hybridshouldn’t be until around 2025, as Bugatti’s factory in Molsheim, France will be busy with the last examples of the Chiron until then.

Most likely, the mysterious model is believed to be a new special bus built on the Chiron platform. With the arrival of the successor to the Veyron, Bugatti revived the body building practice the French marque was known for in its early days. The result was wild creations like La Voiture Noire, Divo and Centodieci.
Interestingly, Bugatti is rumored to be producing the next bus car will be an open top model. All Bugatti will say about the car is that it “opens up new horizons.”
Monterey Car Week runs through August 21. It will culminate in the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
