According to BYD India, the showroom, spread over 2,500 square feet, is equipped with well-trained professionals and complete facilities, including service bays, customer lounge and electric vehicle charging stations, with the aim of offering customers the best in-store experience.

Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Senior Vice President, Electric Passenger Cars, BYD India said, “Starting in Kochi, we are getting closer to our target customers and are excited to open our first showroom in the country with EVM Southcoast. We hope that our customized products and services will stimulate and accelerate environmental initiatives in the region.”

“Kochi is the most populous city in Kerala and is also known as the financial, commercial and industrial capital of the state. We are excited to start a new journey with our first dealership in Kerala. Kochi has huge potential for premium passenger cars and we strongly believe that BYD will be a major driver of EV adoption in the EPV segments in Kerala,” added Srirang Joshi, Head of Sales, Electric Passenger Cars, BYD India.
