Cadillac has announced the prices and range of Lyriq, the future electric SUV that will be released this summer. It starts a little higher than originally announced, with $ 62,990, but GM has put in a range of up to 312 miles of the EPA-rated range on a single charge. Below are also some candies for potential customers …
Lyriq is GM’s second electric vehicle built on the new Ultium platform, but given that the first is the giant Hummer EV for $ 100,000 +, it will be the first Ultium vehicle to be considered by most EV buyers.
Since its inception, it has attracted a great deal of attention thanks to its stunning design and impressive features, such as a 100 kWh battery that provides a range of “over 300 miles”, an on-board AC charger 19.2 kW and a fast DC charging capacity up to 190 kW; all for less than $ 60,000, according to GM’s first announcement.
Production of Lyriq began in Marchbut GM has not yet delivered the car to customers. Today, as deliveries approach, the automaker has announced a few more details about the Cadillac Lyriq, including an update on the range and prices.
The Lyriq RWD received, according to EPA estimates, a range of 321 miles and a starting price of $ 62,990:
The LYRIQ RWD model offers a range of 312 miles, according to EPA estimates, at full charge and has a starting recommended difference of $ 62,990. The AWD model, which will cost from $ 64,990, adds a second drive located in the front of the car to further improve the car’s dynamics and performance for drivers. When orders open, customers will be able to choose one of two new exterior colors: chic blue metallic and crystal white jersey.
We do not yet have an all-wheel drive version with an EPA rating – it will be close to the start of deliveries “in early 2023”. It is expected to be slightly shorter than the RWD version.
Cadillac is set to open an order for the 2023 Lyriq AWD on May 19; a single-engine version with rear-wheel drive will begin shipping this summer. As we reported earlier, Cadillac has already sold out this version.
Cadillac is pleased with the range of rear-wheel drive version. Global Cadillac Vice President Rory Harvey commented:
These are important steps for Cadillac as we fulfill our promise to deliver the EV with a range of over 300 miles and move to a fully electric portfolio by 2030. Cadillac will define the future of luxury transportation through the range of future EVs. , and it all starts with LYRIQ.
Today, Cadillac also announced that all 2023 Cadillac Lyriq customers will be able to choose between “two years of unlimited public charging loans at EVgo charging stations or a loan of up to $ 1,500 to install a home charger via Qmerit.”
