Like the rest of the market, Dodge plans to switch to electric cars, but judging by the Charger Daytona concept, the brand will not lose its commitment to the muscle car. Dodge’s concept car for its electric future has modern styling from the 1968 Charger. It has a flowing front fender, a multi-speed transmission and a unique “exhaust” sound worthy of a muscle car.
Acura has previewed its first electric car. Just as the 2016 Acura Precision Concept showed off the TLX’s exterior, the new Acura Precision EV Concept gives us a look at the upcoming SUV that Acura is building with General Motors. No specs yet, but it’s expected to use Ultium’s electric powertrain and battery pack.
Porsche has unveiled the 2023 911 GT3 RS, the most track-oriented version of the iconic 911. The super coupe gets a slight boost to 516 hp, but the more significant changes come in aerodynamics and weight reduction, bringing the curb weight down to 3,268 pounds. The car has a driver-operated rear wing that helps it generate 1,895 pounds of downforce at a top speed of 177 mph. Buyers will be lucky to get one at a starting price of $225,250.
