The Porsche 911 GT3 RS was unveiled at Monterey Car Week, and as an earlier leak confirmed, the new edition turns the road race car theme up to 11. The GT3 RS has a 4.0-liter six-cylinder engine with 518 hp. (525 hp) paired with a 7-speed PDK transmission for 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.2 seconds. However, the GT3 RS is the king of the corners with a host of modifications including L-shaped hood vents, a double-decker rear spoiler, small fenders in front of the front wheels and a large pair of vertical lobes behind them. Porsche says the RS can generate a total of 902 lb (409 kg) of downforce at 124 mph (200 km/h), double that of its predecessor and three times that of the GT3 .

Images of the prototype show a slightly revised central air intake and conventional side mirrors.
