Bologna, Italy / Cordoba, Argentina, May 5, 2022 – Ducati announces an agreement with Volkswagen Group Argentina to assemble Ducati CKD motorcycles to be distributed in the local Argentine market. At Cordoba’s industrial center, production will begin by the end of 2022 thanks to significant investments that will make the VW plant the third plant in the world outside Italy for Ducati.

Commercial relations between Ducati and Volkswagen Group Argentina began in 2013, after Audi AG bought the Italian motorcycle manufacturer worldwide in 2012. Ducati currently has seven exclusive dealerships in Argentina that commercialize the full range of Ducati motorcycles and Ducati Scrambler. Each dealer offers a comprehensive service and exhibition hall, where bicycles are exhibited, with an exclusive room dedicated to the “Land of Joy” and Ducati Scrambler products.

The first model to be assembled by Córdoba Industrial Center will be the Scrambler Ducati Icon. The Ducati Scrambler line has become the most valued in the Argentine market since its first local presentation in 2016. Its urban motorcycles, designed according to the concept of post-heritage, offer personalization and self-expression, offering complete versatility in use, preservation of features and distinctive equipment of each Ducati brand product.
