It took Bugatti designers and engineers less than a year to create completely new panels for the new Centodieci, and although the sports seat base is still the same as in the Bugatti Chiron, the surface has been completely redesigned for a new look and feel. “The seat seems different but familiar”, says Dirk Bure, an interior design engineer at Bugatti who is responsible for Centodieci’s interior design. The customer has the opportunity to show the famous EB logo embossed on the headrest, similar to the original EB110, but Bugatti can also emboss the logo to order, customer name or use quality embroidery, and everyone is in no hurry when it comes to Bugatti Centodieci cab. about 16 weeks, four days are spent only on embossing the headrest, to carefully inspect each seat will take a whole day.

“Long-developed vehicles, such as Centodieci, are a major challenge because, even with a few units out of just ten cars, we must comply with and also want to exceed the same quality and safety standards that apply to mass-produced cars.”says Dirk Bure, therefore production prototype Centodieci was taken on a long-term test driver, both in extreme heat and in frosty weather, over 50,000 kilometers of endurance tests. In addition to the strength of the parts and the precision of the fit, the developers also pay attention to the acoustics to avoid unwanted noise. “Our customers expect extremely high-quality and exclusive interiors. We appeal to all the senses – design, appearance, feelings, acoustics and even the sense of smell. Bugatti fans will immediately see the similarities between EB 110 and Centodieci ”.says Jörg Grumer.

One of the biggest problems in the interior of the Bugatti Centodieci is a direct result of the intention to pay tribute to the EB110 Super Sport, a car that had a 3.5-liter V12 engine with four turbochargers that came with 611 hp. tuning with a wheel drive, accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.3 seconds and reaching a top speed of 351 km / h, which today may not be so impressive, but at the time it was a world record for a production car, and inter ‘er had a strange pattern of “checkers”, which today is not as easy to repeat as it was in the nineties.

The new Bugatti Centodieci has lots of rounded panels, arched sections and bends throughout the interior, so making sure all the seams of these small squares line up is quite a challenge for Bugatti upholstery craftsmen, keep in mind that there are door panels , dashboard sections, center console covers and even seats, they all have to have a flawless square image that in many parts actually touch each other, so the image should continue without hesitation from the door to the dashboard and to the center console.
