A wide variety of activities will entertain, challenge and educate participants at this year’s Adventure Rally & Camp in Julian, California from Thursday, November 3rd through Saturday, November 5th.

More than 100 points of interest and 40 new places to ride and discover will be part of the adventure rally this year. Teams of two or more will take part in scavenger hunt-style competitions as they race through scenic and challenging terrain. Participants have the option of riding one day or all three days.
Training sessions will be offered again during the 2022 edition of Adventure Rally & Camp. Classes are scheduled for Thursday, November 3rd and Friday, November 4th for both beginner and intermediate/advanced riders.
The intermediate/advanced rider class will be headlined by motorcycle legends Scott Harden and Quinn Cody. The class includes a classroom rider training workshop followed by a 26-mile Oriflame Gorge ride. Lance Thomas, who has spent five years as a coach at the BMW Off-Road Academy, will be teaching the beginner ADV skills class.
Participants will receive bonus points in the overall Adventure Rally competition as credit for points of interest along the route when completing the skills class.
Vendor Row will feature the industry’s leading brands, showcasing new products and services, many offering special “event-only” pricing and even “Try Before You Buy” demos.
Harley Davidson returns this year with the full Pan America fleet for a test ride. Yamaha will be participating in this year’s Adventure Rally on Vendor Row, offering free demo rides on the new Super Tenere, Tenere 700 and XT250 models. Kawasaki will also be on hand with bikes available for test rides.
Alpinestars will have on-site displays of products for the all-new Tech Air 3 airbag system, helmets, boots, jackets and more. Rocky Mountain ATV/Motorcycle, the first sponsor and exhibitor, will be displaying parts, accessories, riding gear, tires and a wide variety of these items. Shark, Nolan, Barkbusters, Motoz, LGP, Nelson-Rigg and more will also be part of Vendor Row.
This year, Adventure Rally will again feature motorcycle games. A collection of fun and challenging games to test participants’ motorcycle skills. Additional points will be awarded for participants, and the best team in the games will be awarded the title of Moto Games Champion.
Along with teaching racers in the mastery class, Lance Thomas will return to Adventure Rally with his mobile blacksmith stand. In the evenings starting at 4:00 p.m., Thomas will be doing blacksmithing demonstrations at his booth. Members who want to try their hand at blacksmithing can do so for $20.
Also this year, the Kurt Caselli Foundation will be the beneficiary of proceeds from the annual adventure rally raffle. The foundation’s focus is the safety of off-road motorcycle riders and riders. The foundation has a three-part mission that includes safety precautions for riders before, during and after their racing careers and has raised $1.6 million since the foundation’s inception.
Daddy’s Famous Foods will provide all camping food needs for members who sign up for a grocery package. Offers include welcome lunch on Wednesday, breakfast and dinner on Thursday, breakfast and dinner on Friday, breakfast and dinner on Saturday and breakfast to go on Sunday. The Tap Truck mobile bar will be part of the Adventure Rally again this year and will be serving refreshing drinks.
Adventure Rally & Camp is a three-day challenge for riders of all skill levels and their bikes. Throughout the day, racers take part in self-driving along scenic trails and seek out elusive checkpoints set up by Adventure Rally & Camp staff. At night, competitors socialize with industry guests, often around a fire with movies, music and cold drinks.
Teams will take part in track tests as well as special tests during the Adventure Rally & Camp. The special trials are held at Stagecoach Trails Base Camp and are designed to test riders’ general adventure skills.
The 2022 Adventure Rally & Camp will conclude with an awards celebration and party on Saturday, November 5, with numerous awards presented.
