Garage Gurus, the training and support platform of Tenneco Inc.’s DRiV Group, has announced the winners of its 2022-2023 Automotive Technical Scholarship Program. Each of the 12 recipients will receive $2,500 toward an automotive education; all winners have been accepted to or are currently attending accredited automotive technical schools, colleges and universities in the US, or are full-time students in a US high school. In its eighth year, the Garage Gurus Scholarship Program has awarded more than $230,000 to pay for the education of future automotive service professionals, according to Tenneco.

“The Garage Gurus team is very excited and pleased to be able to help students who are serious about getting a foothold in the auto repair industry,” said Dennis Sheron, Director of Garage Gurus. “We will continue to help them develop the skills they need to lead the next generation of technicians to successful careers in the industry for years to come. Students were required to submit an application, two letters of recommendation from non-family members, and a typed essay or video stating “Why I want to become a better technician.” The winning entry packages were reviewed and selected by the Garage Gurus team of ASE Master Certified Technicians and other team members.
