The list of automakers is skipped SEMA became longer. First reported Muscle Cars and Trucksand confirmed to us by a company representative, General Motors will not have an official presence in aftermarket to show. Joins Ford and Honda leave the show. It will be a big hole in the show, with GM brands usually fill a significant portion of the available exhibition space in one of the main halls.

GM also did not give much explanation for the move. A GM representative provided Autoblog with the same statement that Muscle Cars and Trucks received: “GM has decided not to participate in 2022 SEMA show. SEMA has always inspired us, and accessories and performance parts remain an important part of our business. ”

We were also asked if we would see any announcements during the show – Ford said he had plans to share some things at the time – but a GM spokesman said the company had no immediate plans for the ads. Of course, things can change from now until the November show.

SEMA has previously noted that other exhibitors will help fill some of the vacancies vacated by these major OEMs. Another OEM, Volkswagenreturns to the show after the absence, which will also help eliminate the lack of reflection.
