Google has announced the introduction of a new 3-split screen mode for the Android Auto car app. New updates that users can download from the Google PlayStore now offer a new look with a split-screen interface.
“Over the years, we have found that there are three main features that drivers prefer in their cars: navigation, media and communication. Android Auto will release a completely new interface that will help you get routes faster, control your media files more easily and have more functionality, ”Google said in a statement describing all the changes in the application.
Android Auto is a car app released by Google in 2014 that allows you to use the car navigation system by connecting your smartphone to the dashboard. Recently, improvements have been made to features such as the ability to wirelessly connect smartphones or the ability to use Android Auto only on smartphones.
According to an ad in Google, Android Auto will in future be able to use 3-split screen mode for any screen size. Most of the screen shows maps and navigation, a smaller screen shows music, podcasts, audio controls, and another smaller screen shows suggestions from Google Assistant.
It allows you to view hours, estimated arrival times, text and phone notifications and more at any time. You can also allow Google Now to read the content of the message and respond with your own voice. And at the bottom or left of the screen you will see the clock, alarm status, battery level, notifications, program viewer and Google Assistant.
A new 3-screen mode will be available this summer. The company is also reportedly working on features such as live streaming apps from phones to the car screen. It may also add more streaming options in the future.
