List of 2022 Ford Electric Pickups

Since the Model T was introduced to the world in 1908, the Ford name has become almost synonymous with the automotive industry. As the automaker moves into a new era of electric vehicles, Ford has wisely decided to convert several consumer favorites to electric.

Ford turned 100 years old of truck production in 2017, from the 1917 TT model, one of the first pickup trucks, to the new all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning.

The Ford F-150 Lightning is Ford’s first 100% electric pickup truck that customers started receiving in May 2022. Since then, the electric car has been warmly received and quickly became one of the best selling electric trucksalthough there are only a few others currently on the market (GMC Hummer EV, Rivian R1T).

While Ford has a rich history in truck production, the automaker calls its electric truck “the smartest, most innovative F-150” ever built. See full review it here.

An important thing to note if you decide to go with the extended range battery is that it will cost you an additional $10,000 on the LARIAT model and $19,500 on the XLT model (due to the need to upgrade the 312A package).

Although it is the base model, the F-150 Lightning Pro still has features such as a comfortable, spacious interior, a 400-liter Mega Power Frunk and four Pro Power Onboard 120V outlets for a total of 2 .4kW, ideal for a laptop or perhaps a workstation.

An instant 775 lb-ft of torque (the most of any F-Series) gives the F-150 Lightning quick acceleration and the ability to go from 0 to 60 in four seconds. And for those worried about towing with electric vehicles, Ford’s electric pickup truck has several features that will make you almost forget there’s anything attached behind you.

The Ford F-150 Lighting is one of the largest passenger cars to receive an electric upgrade. As such, it has a massive battery that can be used as a backup generator for your home during an outage (Ford claims a fully charged light can power the average home for three days) with car to network (V2G) or to charge another electric vehicle.

Meanwhile, for those looking to travel longer distances, you may want to consider an extended-range battery in the XLT, LARIAT or Platinum models.

Does this list of Ford electric pickup trucks qualify for the EV tax credit?

The Ford F-150 Lightning qualifies for the tax credit. However, electric pickups should be priced under $80,000, so you can push the price threshold with extra features.

Meanwhile, due to overwhelming demand, Ford’s 2022 model is sold out with reservations for several years as the automaker works to ramp up production.
