Two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) reported a 67 percent year-on-year growth in total two-wheeler sales in June at 3,83,882 units. In June 2021, the company sold a total of 2,32,497 vehicles, HMSI said in a statement on Friday.
In the domestic market, sales rose 65 percent to 3,55,560 units in June 2022 compared to 2,12,453 units in the same month last year, it said.
“The growth expectations we set at the start of FY23 are gradually turning into reality. The timely arrival of the monsoons has had a positive impact on the economic performance,” said Atsushi Ogata, Managing Director, President and CEO, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India. .
He said the company expects this upward trend to continue in the coming months as more customers look for two-wheeler mobility options.
