Jeep Compass 2023 received 93 hp. thanks to the new Turbo-Four

The 2.0-liter engine’s 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque is a huge improvement over the previous Compass engine, a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter inline-four with 177 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard, and the previous model’s front-wheel drive has been discontinued.

The 2023 Compass starts at $31,590, which is just $1,210 more than the comparable 2022 model—not a bad deal considering the new powertrain. The Trailhawk off-road model starts at $37,340 and the loaded High Altitude starts at $40,340.

Jeep hasn’t released any official details about the 2023 Compass yet, so we don’t know if any other major changes are on the way. It did get a facelift for 2022, which included updated styling and a new infotainment screen. We’ve reached out to Jeep for comment and will update this post as more information becomes available.
