Jeep India is back with another SUV, the 2022 Meridian, which aims to destroy the three-row premium mid-size category. Meridian, often considered the big brother of the popular five-seater SUV Jeep Compass, seeks to highlight its own identity among some fans of its segment, such as the Toyota Fortuner. Manufactured at Jeep India in Ranjang, Meridian is committed to emulating the success of Compass, which was launched in 2017. Apart from Fortuner, the new Jeep Meridian will also feature similar SUVs MG Gloster and Mahindra Alturas G4.

The 2022 Jeep Meridian SUV is already available. To pre-book an SUV, you can log on to the official Jeep India website. Customers can book a Meridian of their choice by paying ₹50,000. In addition to the Jeep website, bookings are accepted at car dealerships in India.
Jeep clarifies why India needs a new three-row SUV
It’s been a long time since Ford Motor ended its business in India forever, taking away one of the major players in the segment. The void left by the Ford Endeavor SUV is something Jeep would like to capture and grow to challenge segment leader Toyota Fortuner. The Jeep says there is a clear advantage to the SUV body type that should help the Meridian case. The 2022 Meridian three-row SUV should make the Jeep India lineup more complete along with the popular Compass two-row five-seater SUV.
