Ravanpera was able to score only the eighth fastest time and dropped to sixth place in the overall standings, now by 12.5 seconds.

Thierry Neville is in eighth place, ahead of Dani Sorda and Takamoto Katsuta.

Gus Greensmith’s hopes for the podium seem to have run out, as he faced a technical problem after half-twisting the leaves and falling nearly two minutes later.

“I had half a spin, but then the car didn’t start, it seemed, for a minute and a half,” Greensmith explained.

“The engine started, and as soon as I let go of the clutch, it died. That’s what we have. “
