We’ve already seen the new Lotus SUV in the videos of most YouTube stars, but the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed was the first time the general public could admire the Eletre for the first time in real life, and it attracted a lot of attention, the Lotus stand was packed most of the time.
It seems many people were looking forward to seeing Lotus’ hyper SUV, the progressive and exotic looking EV still has the soul of Lotus as we know it but adds the usability and capacity of an SUV, visitors bombarded the product specialists on the stand with questions about it new electric Lotus … after all, they even signed order forms from people right on the stand at Goodwood.
The Lotus stand at Goodwood FoS 2022 premiered the ultimate three-car garage, with Eletre joined not only by the handsome Emire sports car, but also by the ground-breaking Evija hypercar… and just in case that wasn’t enough of a surprise for you, Lotus added a bright -the yellow competition-inspired Emira GT4 race car, which was unveiled just last month and has already sold out in its first year.
And Lotus didn’t just have a static display, none other than F1 World Champion Jenson Button was on the stand driving the cars during their time at the famous Goodwood Hill Climb, swapping cars between heats.
Matt Windle commented: “What an amazing first day at Goodwood – with such a passionate and knowledgeable crowd it never disappoints! The Lotus stand was busy from the moment the gates opened at 7am and it was great to see fans new and old coming up to our cars and talking to our team. If the first day was anything to go by, the rest of the weekend will be a huge success too!”
