TECHAMA COUNTY, CA. – The man convicted in the motorcycle death of Johnny Gregory Jr. has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, according to the Tehama County District Attorney’s Office.

Ray Ray Cain Jr. was convicted of first degree murder with the special circumstance that the murder was committed by torture.

Cain Jr. was sentenced Thursday after he was found guilty on Sept. 7.

He used a rope to pull Gregory Jr.’s body behind his motorcycle during a police chase in Red Bluff in February 2021.
