Maruti Grand Vitara CNG to Toyota Hyryder CNG, here are the top 6 SUVs to be launched in India in December 2022.

New Delhi, November 30: Car makers in India are preparing a slew of new cars to woo buyers ahead of the New Year itself. As SUVs have been in vogue all over the world for quite some time now, car companies in India are also producing SUVs in all shapes and sizes. So here are the 6 SUV models (in no particular order) that are scheduled to be launched in India in December 2022. The 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is under scrutiny, revealing design details ahead of its global debut.

The SUVs will be launched in India in December:

1. Mercedes-Benz GLB

Mercedes-Benz is set to launch its GLB on December 2nd. The Mercedes GLB SUV will be sourced from Mexico as a fully imported vehicle and will be equipped with a 2.0-liter diesel and a 1.3-liter turbo gasoline engine. The seven-seater luxury SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 65-70 lakh (ex-showroom).

2. Mercedes-Benz EQB

The Mercedes-Benz EQB will be the luxury car giant’s third electric vehicle in India. The EQB is equipped with a 66.5kWh battery that provides a range of over 400km on a single charge. It shares the underpinnings with the GLB and will also be launched in India on December 2 alongside the latter.

3. BMW XM

The XM is an M-performance SUV and one of BMW’s most powerful. It is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with hybrid technology that delivers 650 hp. BMW XM will be available on December 10.

4. BMW X7

BMW has launched the facelifted version of the X7 globally and it will be launched in India on December 10 alongside the XM. The X7 has received major cosmetic updates front and rear, and some new goodies inside, apart from a new infotainment system and instrument cluster.

5. Toyota HyRyder CNG

Toyota Hyryder CNG bookings are now underway. It is powered by a 1.5-litre mild hybrid petrol engine with CNG option and Toyota claims it delivers a fuel efficiency of 26.1 kmpl. When launched in December, it will be India’s first CNG SUV, soon to be followed by the Maruti Vitara, with which it shares an engine. 6. Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara CNG

The Maruti Grand Vitara will also arrive in a CNG avatar in December. It will share the 1.5-litre CNG petrol engine with the Hyryder with the same expected fuel efficiency. Both CNG compact SUVs will also come with a manual transmission only.
