Winn, Spurlock, Otts among other winners at Rock’s 190hookup.com Nationals
Bobby Lovingood of Leland was among a quartet of North Carolina winners, while Terry Winn of Jacksonville, Fla., earned a free pass to victory in Sunday’s Pro Mod class at the 41st annual 190hookup.com Nationals at Rockingham Dragway, part of the Man Cup Series motorcycle.
In the absence of defending champion Paul Gast, Wynn defeated Atlanta’s Tyrone Lemons in the Pro Mod semifinals before claiming the title when last-round opponent Gerald Smith was guilty of a final-round false start.
Lovingood defeated former ManCup champion Robert Giard of Gainsboro, Tennessee in the final to win the Pro Open for the second year in a row. He shared the winner’s circle with fellow Carolinas Doug Lohey of Farmville, Blair Fields of Denver and Russell Dennison Jr. of Youngsville.
Scott DeLong of Citro, Florida repeated in Super Comp, as did Barry Pryor of Chesapeake, Virginia in Street Fighter. Other winners included Distani Spurlock of Goldwine, Va., in the 4.60 class, and Chad Otts of Olive Branch, Miss., who won Pro Gas but failed to make the finals in any of the classes he competed in. for the championship – 4.60 and Super Comp.
Johnny Ard of Indianapolis and Casey Smith of Musella, Georgia were V-Twin winners, while Chris Sulkowski of Canfield, Ohio won Saturday’s Gamblers Race.
