Microsoft Outlook easily included the best email services there, especially if you use email for work – and that’s, well, everyone.
But the campaign does not stop there, especially when Google is constantly improving Gmailand a recently released product roadmap for Microsoft 365 shows that Outlook is set up for fairly neat updates.
After recently teased a new kind of One Outlook client that was originally leakedMicrosoft seems to be moving into a future where everything will work in complete harmony.
Brand new Outlook
Outlook will have a new look, message reminders, a unified calendar view, to-do notes and emails, and other changes. Still being finalized, so take a look into the future to learn more, but it looks pretty good.
And it does not seem that Microsoft is stopping there. According to the roadmap, Outlook should get deeper integration with other Microsoft services from around July 2022, which will be a big bonus for anyone who subscribes to the toolkit.
“We add to users the ability to quickly access To Do, Org Explorer, Yammer Communities and Bookings directly inside Outlook,” the company said. “You can also customize this experience by fixing the preferred Outlook and Microsoft 365 programs.”
The update will be distributed worldwide, and it seems Microsoft should already be pretty far in development given the July deadline.
Battle for the office
Since the pandemic has forced companies hybrid workMicrosoft’s toolkit has become even more important, but competitors have also exploded on the scene.
For its part, Microsoft has been a huge growth for Teams – that passed 270 million monthly active users in the 4th quarter of 2021, up from 250 million in mid-2021 as Office revenue continues to grow from quarter to quarter.
But Google is seeing a huge increase in the number of people and companies using Workspace tools, thanks to the fact that documents and many more are available for free.
Slack is also experiencing an increase in usage purchased from Salesforce for about $ 27.7 billion last July.
The winner in the race of tools for remote businesses is still unknown, but Microsoft has put itself in a good position, and further integration of Outlook into the ecosystem only contributes to this.
