Lusail International Circuit facilities are designed for extensive renovation

In 2023, the Lusail International Autodrome will be overhauled and reconstructed in the corral and autodrome area. The track has already been confirmed on MotoGP calendar at least until 2031, and as part of the flagship motorsports of the Middle East will further confirm its status as one of the best equipped racing facilities in the world.

The reconstruction project will begin to take shape in 2022, and various areas will be re-equipped to create an even better experience for everyone involved in racing and visiting the venue, from racers and teams to fans and guests. This includes new spectator areas, making Lusail a truly modern, cutting-edge racetrack.

After the completion of the works in Lusail, the 2023 Qatar Grand Prix will take place, which means that the event will not be the first stage, as it has been since 2007. Instead, it will take place at the end of the season under the impressive spotlight of Luceil as the sport returns to enjoy incredible races – as has become a tradition at the Qatar Grand Prix.
