The jury is out – and of all the cars on the Misano circuit on Wednesday, the Yamaha Monster Energy team saw the fastest rider!

Honored by none other than Fabio Quartararo, who – according to a press release issued by Monster Energy Yamaha via The world of road racing – he really likes the bike that Yami gave him.

The relevance of this is night and day; if you recall, Quartararo refused to sign a contract with the Japanese marque until they could give him a bike worthy of his talents – and fair.

After all, this is the reigning 2021 MotoGP champion.

His improved performance with his YZR-M1 put the Frenchman in a great mood as he tested fairings and winglets in the afternoon.” – says the report.

“Quartarara clocked 288.3 km/h in Wednesday’s pre-morning race, third on the clock, less than 2 km/h slower than Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racig). used a slipstream to achieve that speed, but was still very pleased with what Iwata produced.”
