Musk, who is surrounded by Fr. controversial attempts to buy Twitter Inc., said on Wednesday that he would vote for a Republican, not a Democrat, predicting that after that a “campaign of dirty tricks against me” would begin.
A Business Insider article quoted Musk as saying that the flight attendant’s story was a “politically motivated hit” and that there was “much more” to that story.
On Thursday night, Musk wrote on Twitter for the first time: “Attacks against me should be viewed through a political prism – this is their standard (contemptuous) textbook – but nothing will stop me from fighting for a good future and your right to freedom of speech.” In the initial tweet, he did not specifically mention the allegations in the Business Insider article.
“And, for the record, these savage accusations are completely untrue,” Musk added in another tweet.
He also tweeted that the article was intended to prevent the acquisition of Twitter.
