Externally, the new Fortuner GR-S comes with a few notable style adjustments over conventional Fortuner models. It gets tinted alloy wheels and a two-tone grille, giving it a more sporty look. There are also GR icons on the grille, fenders and trunk lid. A more sporty exterior theme is also accompanied inside by a completely black interior with red stitching, a GR icon on the start-stop steering button, a new dashboard and more sporty pedals.

Some of the key features of Fortuner Gazoo Racing Sports option includes four-LED LED headlights, LED fog lights, seven airbags, dual-zone climate control, electrically adjustable and folding ORVM, ABS with EBD, electrically operated rear gates, cruise control, eight-inch infotainment system with Apple entertainment Android Auto, driving mode (Eco, Normal and Sports) and more.
At the heart of the new SUV is a 2.8-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that produces a maximum output of 201 hp. 500 Nm of torque peak. The engine comes paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The color options of the new SUV include Attitude Black and White Pearl Crystal Shine.
