Shanghai (Gasgoo) – On Tuesday, NIO announced via its WeChat account that it has already started deliveries of its all-electric sedan ET7 in four European countries, namely Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden, marking further significant progress in developing NIO’s business overseas.

According to NIO, the delivery of the ET7 to Germany came immediately after the company held NIO Berlin, a launch event in Europe themed “New Horizon” on October 7, 2022 (German time). On October 16, NIO delivered the first batch of ET7 to users in the Netherlands. Deliveries also began in mid-October. both in Denmark and Sweden.

At the NIO Berlin exhibition, the Chinese electric vehicle startup said it will start booking its three latest models — the ET7, EL7 and ET5 — for consumers in the aforementioned four countries through a flexible subscription model.

NIO added that it will establish sales and service networks in these countries to directly serve its users with the NIO center in Berlin set to open for business. In other cities such as Hamburg, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Gothenburg, NIO centers are under construction and will soon be operational.

On the grid, NIO said its European charging card has been put into operation. It plans to roll out 20 battery exchange stations in Europe by the end of 2022 and increase the total to 120 by the end of 2023.

The company plans to build 1,000 battery replacement stations outside of China by 2025, most of which will be located in Europe.
