Penske during the first week of May closed two of its small CarShop express centers in the UK, Penske spokesman Anthony Pordon said last week. Express places, which are included in the total number of shops, are outlets in the city center, where customers can order and receive vehicles.

Closed express sites increased costs and did not add additional CarShop sales in the UK, Pordon said.

Some construction sites could delay the opening. There are four in Pinsk Full-fledged CarShop stores with service departments and repair centers under construction in the United States and the United Kingdom

“We are going to monitor the market before we open them,” Penske said. “We will open at the right time.”

Last year, CarShop sold 63,403 cars, up 19 percent from 2020. In 2021, it brought in $ 1.48 billion in annual revenue.

Business continued to grow in the first quarter of 2022, as revenue more than doubled to $ 515.8 million from sales of 19,523 vehicles, up 71 percent from the first quarter of 2021. The average price of a CarShop deal rose 23 percent to $ 21,700. Profits per car sold fell 2 percent to $ 2,155.

The CarShop business is running at a rate of sales that will sell 80,000 to 90,000 vehicles in 2022, Penske said.
