Piaggio has joined other OEMs by raising prices for the Aprilia scooter range in the country. Following Aprilia scooters may also raise prices for its range of motorcycles in India in the next few weeks.
Aprilia scooters in India range from 125 to 160 cc categories. In terms of prices, the average growth is recorded around ₹6728. It will now cost the entry-level Aprilia Storm Disc ₹1 06 331, while Aprilia SR RST 125 new price ₹1,15,877, increase by ₹6428. Aprilia SR RST 160 with larger displacement now starts with price ₹1 25 895.

The company also sells the SXR range in the country, which is quite popular with urban buyers. The new price of the Aprilia SXR 125 starts with ₹1,27,206 that is ₹6,549 above the previous price. Aprilia SR RST Carbon has become more expensive ₹6577 and now stands ₹1 28 406. Special scooter model – Aprilia SR RST Race is now sold at a price ₹1,35,147, increase by ₹6657. The SXR 160 is now worth it ₹1,38,483 that is ₹6728 is higher than the previous model.
The overall increase in prices for Aprilia scooters is relatively higher in the case of Aprilia scooters than in other OEMs. This is probably because the company raised model prices after a longer period, unlike other brands that raised prices on time.
Among the main competitors of Aprilia sports scooters in India are TVS Ntorq 125, Suzuki Burgman Street 125, Avenis, Yamaha RayZR and Fascino, Honda Grazia and Hero Maestro Edge. In addition, among the competitors with a larger volume – Yamaha Eros 155.
