ATLANTA (May 25, 2022). Pirelli Tire North America will return to the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship 2022. The 12-round series kicks off on Saturday, May 28, at Fox Raceway National in Pala, California. At each event Pirelli will have its own 18-wheel racing transporter. Providing technical support and assistance on the track to all riders competing on SCORPION ™ MX tires. The opening season on Fox Raceway will also welcome nine-time FIM World Champion Antonio Cairoli. He will compete under the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing tent equipped with the Pirelli KTM 450 SX-F.

“I’m very happy to be in the United States,” Cairoli said. “Taking part in national races has always been a dream, and now we have a chance to do it, so I’m very happy and looking forward to it.”
Cairoli and Pirelli have a long history of joint success, winning countless victories and six MXGP Titles together. After retiring from regular racing in late 2021, he undertook the first two rounds with the option to continue throughout the summer.

There are a number of other teams joining Cairoli to take part in this summer’s professional motocross championship. These will be Muc-Off / FXR / Club MX Yamaha, BarX / Chaparral Suzuki, Firepower Honda and Phoenix Racing Honda.

Because all riders who enter the top 30 in classes 250 and 450 will receive a FREE set of SCORPION ™ MX tires in the next round.
