Kawasaki updated its popularity KX250 and KX250X for 2023 with a wide range of revisions designed to improve performance on the track and track. Updated cars are available now: the KX250 costs $ 8,499 and the KX250X – $ 8,599.
Both motorcycles have a redesigned 249 cc unit with many changes aimed at improving performance across the entire rev range. The pitch of the intake valves is narrower and the clearance of the valve seat increases; The size of the intake valve has been reduced by a millimeter to accommodate the changes, and a new piston crown has been designed to work seamlessly with the new valve size and pitch revision.
Bicycles get a redesigned more direct inlet in the downstream style; The injector closest to the air box has been changed and a new ignition timing has appeared. The exhaust pipe is now 100 mm longer. The clutch has received an updated boost to facilitate operation, and the transmission has been changed to help optimize power transmission in first and second gears.
The suspension package has also been redesigned, with revised settings for both the front and rear to improve cornering performance and front end feel. Engineers did this by reviewing the oil height in the KYB fork of 48 mm and updating the valve settings in the KYB shock absorber. There is also a revised Uni-Track system that secures the lever under the flywheel, providing a longer back stroke. The bolts of the fork cover and rear lever collar are now aluminum, which helps save weight.
The KX250 also gets new Dunlop MX33 tires; rear tire size increased to 110 / 90-19. Kawasaki now uses a 5mm wide footrest located 3mm behind to provide optimal feel and help save weight.
KX250X off-road the bike, however, will ride on Dunlop Geomax AT81 tires. It gets a softer suspension setting, shorter gears, and a curb plate and stand.
