Range Rover Sport SUV priced at Rs 1.64 crore; booking open, launch in late 2022

Jaguar Land Rover is equipped with a six-cylinder Ingenium diesel engine with a soft hybrid 48 V.

Jaguar Land Rover announced prices for 2022 Range Rover Sport SUV in India with a starting mark ₹1.64 crore (former showroom). The automaker has officially opened the booking of the all-new Range Rover Sport from today and will release the car later this year. The new Range Rover Sport is available with a six-cylinder Ingenium diesel engine with a soft hybrid 48 V, which provides 297 hp. and 650 Nm of torque. The automaker offers the SUV in four editions, which include Dynamic SE, Dynamic HSE, Autobiography and First Edition, which will have specially selected specifications.

The Range Rover Sport was unveiled to the world just last week. The SUV will be delivered to India via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route. The delivery of the SUV is expected to begin in November this year.

Rohit Suri, President and Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover India, said: “The new Range Rover Sport rethinks sporting luxury without effortlessly combining assertive and instinctive features on the road with the sophistication of the Range Rover brand, progressive sophistication and convenient design.

The new Range Rover Sport SUV comes with improved design features that include a concealed front grille, digital LED headlights and branded DRLs. At the rear of the SUV there is a sculptural rear door with full-width function and LED taillights. The SUV sits on 21-inch alloy wheels that can be upgraded to 22-inch on demand.

The interior of the new Range Rover Sport has a 13.1-inch curved touchscreen infotainment display. It is equipped with the latest information and entertainment program Pivi Pro from the car manufacturer. The SUV also received a 13.7-inch digital driver display, Alexa voice assistance, air purifier, Apple CarPlay wireless and Android Auto, wireless charging among other features.

The upholstery is made in a new color combination Moonlight Chrome. It also offers front seats with adjustable in 22 directions, heated and ventilated electric memory with massage function and winged headrests.

JLR said its electric vehicle architecture (EVA 2.0) will enable the Range Rover Sport with continuously connected technologies, including remote software over-the-air (SOTA) software updates for 63 electronic modules.

The new Range Rover Sport also offers new advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) from the carmaker. All options will be offered with a 3D surround camera, including front and rear parking sensors, Wade Sensing, ClearSight Ground View and maneuverable lights – cruise control and driver status monitor.
