Audi RS 5 already offers great performance right out of the box, but by 2023 the hardcore coupe and hatchback can be ordered with the Competition package, which further boosts performance and adds extra style.
The available package brings several settings, including an adjustable suspension that reduces road height by 10 millimeters, front and rear stabilizers, and a sports exhaust system with black exhaust pipes. Removing the noise insulation around the firewall also brings more engine noise into the cabin and helps reduce the weight down by 18 pounds.
Engineers also increased transmission performance by reducing switching time, and improved the accuracy of the steering system by introducing a fixed steering ratio of 13.1: 1. All-wheel drive control software has also been refined to deliver more power to the rear wheels.
Braking performance has been improved with new carbon-ceramic brake rotors on the front axle and customized ABS software. According to Audi, the braking distance of 60 miles per hour is now more than six feet smaller. Another key update is the new five-spoke alloys that come standard with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.

The RS 5 is capable of accelerating 60 mph from rest in 3.7 seconds (3.8 seconds for the RS 5 Sportback) and reaches a top speed of 155 mph in standard mode. The previous Dynamic Plus package increased the top speed to 174 mph, but the new Competition package increases the top speed to 180 mph.
No changes have been made to the RS 5 transmission. Under the hood you’ll find a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 that delivers a maximum output of 444 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. The engine is combined with 8-speed automatic transmission and rotates all four wheels as standard.
The Competition package also makes changes to the style inside and out. In addition to the new wheels mentioned above, there are also dark accents for the exterior and interior, including some carbon fiber elements. Dark accents contrast with some red elements such as stitching and the color of the brake calipers. Buyers also have the opportunity to use the exclusive Sebring Black paint with a crystal effect.
The RS 5 2023 will go on sale in June at a starting price of $ 75,900 to its destination. The competition package is an additional $ 16,100.
