The winners of the inaugural California 300 were celebrated in Barstow on Sunday morning as the official awards ceremony handed out gear to podium finishers in the first edition of the Martelli Brothers’ newest event. From the Grabowski Brothers Racing team who won the Unlimited Race to young riders just starting out in the sport, competitors of all types and levels secured their trophies to cap off a successful debut weekend of racing.
The first California 300 trophies were custom designed by Assault Industries, longtime manufacturers of Mint 400 and UTV World Championship trophies and a leading supplier of UTV products and accessories. The trophies contained the inaugural competition shield with a larger version of the checkered flags for the overall and class winners. The debut event began with the Clean-Desert Desert Cleanup, which removed more than 10 tons of trash from the Barstow Desert, continued with the California 300 Off-Road Festival featuring dozens of high-profile vendors on Thursday, and Unlimited, Limited, Short Course and Youth races at over two days of racing on Friday and Saturday.
