Land Rover announced that its latest eight-seater three-row SUV, the Defender 130, will debut worldwide on May 31st. The car will get a spacious 2-3-3 seat configuration, the latest digital technology and advanced integrated chassis technology. The longer version of the Defender SUV will be located above the Defender 90 and Defender 110 versions, offering extra space. The automaker has also announced that SUV reservations will open in May.

While most of the SUV’s profile has remained hidden in the image, the extra length of the roof and rear side window is clearly visible. The Defender 130 shares most of the body panels with the rest of the Defender line.
Earlier spy images of the car suggest that it will have a stretched wheelbase and a longer rear overhang. The SUV is expected to be 5,100mm long, 342mm longer than the five-door Defender 110, and 777mm longer than the three-door Defender 90.
The Land Rover Defender 130 engine lineup is likely to be shared with the rest of the Defender lineup, including the more powerful Defender V8 with a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 and 518bhp. and a torque of 846 Nm.
In a separate development earlier this month, Land Rover announced a limited series of Defender SUVs dedicated to the 30th Anniversary Edition to pay tribute to the cult heritage of the 1993 Land Rover Defender 110. Only 500 units of this edition will be produced and will be available from selected Land Rover dealers in North America. The anniversary model meets the style and specifications of the original along with the latest advanced technologies.
