The Honda Activa Premium will only get cosmetic upgrades over the standard Activa.
Honda 2Wheelers India teased a new variant of the Activa and then they revealed that it will be called the Activa Premium. The Japanese manufacturer talked about the new scooter on its social media page. The price of Honda Activa Premium has not been revealed yet. However, it is expected to be at the top of the line.
The image shows that the Activa Premium will only come with cosmetic updates. There is a new color scheme of blue color with golden accents. Gold treatment is done to adorn the apron, wheels and the Activa badge on the sides. The footrest and seat are now finished in brown. All these changes give it a more premium look than the standard Activa.
Equipment, features and engine specifications are expected to remain the same as the regular Activa. Hence, it is expected to retain its 109.51cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine capable of producing 7.68bhp of peak power at 8,000rpm and 8.84Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. per minute.
In terms of features, the scooter comes with an external fuel tank cover, analog dashboard, under-seat storage, LED headlights and eSP technology that helps in silent starting. The engine receives fuel injection and is cooled by a fan.
Braking functions are performed by a 130-mm drum both at the front and at the rear. The scooter uses tubeless tires that give the rider peace of mind in the event of a puncture. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and a 3-stage hydraulic shock absorber with spring-loaded adjustment. The scooter weighs 106 kg and has a 5.3 liter fuel tank. The Activa’s seat height is a very accessible 692mm.
