Honda has announced a new SUV model for China called the ZR-V, which will be manufactured locally by the Guangqi Honda joint venture. The model will debut on May 19, but the first official shots suggest that the ZR-V is actually the Chinese version of the American specification. Honda HR-V 2023.
The exterior design of the ZR-V is almost identical to the HR-V, with some exceptions aimed at the trim elements.
The front LED headlights have a slightly different graphics, the radiator grille has a new honeycomb image, and the bumpers are adorned with black glossy plastic and chrome details. The profile has not changed, except for the new design of the wheels, which give the SUV an elite look.
Other changes include a panoramic sunroof, which in the ZR-V is larger thanks to the double glass panels. Finally, the rear got a new chrome element at the bottom of the bumper, which houses the double exhaust pipes.
Honda has yet to disclose the specifications of the ZR-V, but the SUV is expected to have common transmissions with the mechanical. Honda Civic and Honda Integra. In China, the Civic is available with both a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and a hybrid e: HEV which is the only option in Europe.
Honda also has confirmed the US HR-V specification for the European market where it will be sold from 2023 under another name (maybe ZR-V used in China).
We’ll learn more about the Honda ZR-V in a couple of weeks when Hoang’s Guangqi fully unveils it.
