Toyota Innova HyCross to debut in India; Bookings open, deliveries from January 2023; Check out the specs and other details here

New Delhi, November 25: Toyota Kirloskar Motor India has finally unveiled its all-new Innova Hycross MPV ahead of its January 2023 launch, when pricing details will also be officially revealed. The same car was launched as the Innova Zenix Hybrid in Indonesia earlier this week. Bookings for the HyCross have already begun for an initial token amount of Rs 50,000.

Indian car buyers will be able to choose from two petrol trims – G and GX and three petrol hybrid models namely VX, ZX and ZX (O). These trim levels will be offered in seven- and eight-seat configurations. The Genesis X Convertible concept unveiled at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show. The new Toyota Innova HyCross is based on a monocoque chassis and is equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine that provides a maximum power of 172 hp. and 187 Nm of maximum torque. The engine, combined with a mild hybrid system, provides an additional 111 horsepower and 206 Nm of torque. There are also CVT and E-CVT transmission options.

The HyCross crossover (SUV-style MPV) claimed to be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds and is claimed to deliver a fuel efficiency of 21.1 kmpl. In terms of dimensions, the new Toyota MPV measures 4,755 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width and 1,795 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,850 mm.

On the design front, the Innova HyCross gets an all-new bold and highly stylized SUV-inspired exterior with a chrome grille, swept-back LED headlamps, a sleek airfoil with integrated LED fog lamps. The side profile flaunts a ‘Hybrid’ badge on the front doors, stylish 18-inch alloy wheels, blacked-out B and C-pillars and body cladding to create a tough look. The rear fascia features split LED taillights, a shark fin antenna, a muscular bumper with integrated reflectors and an integrated spoiler.

On the inside, the Innova Hycross boasts premium features like a large 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, multi-zone climate control, nine-speaker JBL music system, digital climate control, all-new color MID dashboard, cruise control, electronic parking brake, Toyota Safety Sense, Toyota i-Connect vehicle connectivity technology, six airbags, second row captain’s seats, two second row screens, power tailgate, ventilated front seats with a two-tone black and brown interior and a sunroof among many others.

The Toyota Innova HyCross will be available in seven color options – Attitude Black Mica, Super White, Platinum White Pearl, Sparkling Black Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Metallic, Avantgarde Bronze Metallic and Blackish Ageha Gloss Flake.
