Aston Martin sharply turns the wick on the recently unveiled DBX SUV with a sharper and much more powerful 707 model.

The DBX 707 is new for 2023 and is sold along with the standard DBX.

The DBX 707 extracts 697 horsepower (or 707 PS) from the same 4.0-liter V-8 with dual AMG turbocharger, which generates 542 horsepower in the base car.

Along with the abbreviated front-wheel drive, the 707 also upgrades the conventional car’s nine-speed automatic transmission, replacing the torque converter with a wet clutch.

Aston Martin cites acceleration of 60 mph in 3.1 seconds for the 707, as well as 7.4-second acceleration to 100 mph. Top speed is 193 mph.

Carbon-ceramic brakes are exclusive to the 707, and their calipers are available in a variety of colors other than standard black.

To supply air to the more muscular engine, the DBX 707 has a much larger grille, and the lower front panel has larger air intakes.

Additional air elements include a front splitter, a larger rear diffuser, deflectors in the front of the wheel arches, rear wing vents and a modified roof spoiler.

Prices for the DBX 707 start at $ 239,086 – about $ 50,000 more than the regular DBX. Aston Martin expects that the more powerful option will be the majority of sales.
