Volkswagen plans to revive the iconic Scout brand as an electric car in the United States.
In a report Tuesday late, Wall Street Journal said the German car giant aims to release a “new electric station wagon under the Scout brand” as well as an electric pickup, also called the Scout.
Volkswagen has confirmed to CNBC that its supervisory board will vote on the proposals on Wednesday.
According to the magazine, VW has the rights to the name Scout through the purchase of Navistar International Corp.
