“Yeah, we had a few bumps along the way, so I’m definitely glad I finished strong.”
The reason for this rebuild was Hooper’s regular car, which he was leasing to another driver for the 100 Acre Wood Rally. Keen to come back and challenge for another title, Hooper quickly completed his new ride and returned for the next round at Olympus, where he was unfortunately DNFd.
“It probably put us in a bind,” he said, “and it probably would have been better for us to skip the event and take a little more time, but luckily we had a car in the cage that was almost ready and the help of Yarbar , Matta Votto and some other people came in and helped us put everything together.
