Travelers in Dallas were trying to avoid a chaotic accident on the highway after a tractor carrying 30,000 pounds of eggs crashed early Monday morning.
According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department, an 18-wheeled vehicle crashed in one of the western lanes on Interstate 30 near Interstate 45 at about 3:50 a.m. CT.
All the western lanes were closed for several hours to allow the cleaning crews to clear the area of broken eggshells and yolks.
According to reports, many boxes of eggs were spilled on the highway, with many eggs being opened. About 250,000 eggs were exported.
